The University of Sydney, founded in 1850, is Australia's first university. Over the past 150 years, the University has built an international reputation for its outstanding teaching and as a centre of research excellence. As one of Australia's leading universities, the University of Sydney is a key member of:- the Group of Eight - Australia's leading research intensive universities- Academic Consortium 21 (AC21) - an international network of educational, research and industrial organisations in Asia, the United States and Europe- the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU - Sydney is one of three Australian institutions in this group of prestigious universities drawn from Asia, the United States and South America, and- the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) - an international alliance of 16 leading research universities.The University of Sydney continues to rise in global rankings, confirming its place within the top 40 universities in the world. The faculty of Architecture has outstanding facilities for its students. These include artworkshops and gallery, specialised architecture and design library, research laboratories and state of the art design computing facilities.
Flexible postgraduate coursework degrees. We allow our students to take options from any of our 13 programs as well as electives from other faculties.
We are the first Faculty of Architecture in the state.
International students can work up to 20hours per week (The University has a Casual Employment Office).
It looks after its international students. The University has a Foundation Program and an English Language Centre to cater for both undergraduate and postgraduate pre-University preparation.
